Turf Academy 1

The course will cover turfgrass identification, cultural practices (mowing, cultivation, fertilization, irrigation, etc.), and pest management (weeds, insect, disease, nematodes).

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

1. Identify common turfgrasses grown in Florida
2. Understand fertilizer and irrigation needs of turfgrass
3. Identify the common pests known to impact turfgrass and solutions to these pests

Course Length: Approx. 7 hrs

Additionally, a certificate of completion and continuing education units (CEUs) are available upon completion:

• 2 Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance
• 1 Limited Fertilizer
• 2 Limited Lawn and Ornamental
• 4 Ornamental and Turf Pest Control
• 4 Private Applicator Agriculture
